Ask for Feedback

Here’s something to think about it…

In my May Pulse Point, I discussed if you want a toxic culture, then you should employ bad managers. I also offered advice on what organizations, managers, and employees can do about it. Today, lets focus on what employees can do if they find themselves in a situation where they don’t have the tools (e.g., equipment, technology, training, etc.) to do their job, don’t know the expectations of their role, or aren’t receiving any feedback on their performance. If anything resonates with you about this, then you need to ask your manager for these items. Communication is a 2-way street and you’ve got to own your own career, so ask questions, seek feedback, and take the initiative.

Are you ready to do something about this? I help Organizations inspire confidence back into their team for innovation and growth. I help Organizations design and implement a system that fosters and protects a strong culture where employees are heard and understood from leadership down. In doing so, individual team members can gain confidence to bravely introduce innovative ideas and grow the company. If you are ready to get started, please reach out to chat.
