Communicate Clear Expectations

Here’s something to think about it…

In my April Pulse Point, I discussed how leaders need to have the courage to put people in the right role. When people realize they have team members in roles that aren’t for them, it typically means a step was missed in the process. The first step in the process is to communicate clear expectations (in the interview, on Day 1, and often). You can read my Pulse Point, “Have the Courage to put People in the Right Role” for more details. But my challenge to you is to think about your team members – do each of them clearly understand their expectations? If not, put a meeting on the calendar now. Not a people manager? No worries. Do you understand your expectations? If not, schedule a meeting with your supervisor today.

Are you ready to enhance your courage and leadership skills? I help Organizations inspire confidence back into their team for innovation and growth. I help Organizations design and implement a system that fosters and protects a strong culture where employees are heard and understood from leadership down. In doing so, individual team members can gain confidence to bravely introduce innovative ideas and grow the company. If you are ready to get started, please reach out to chat.
