Here’s something to think about it…
This month I’m talking about getting back to basics to engage employees. An important aspect of a career is having opportunities to learn and grow. If there’s something that interests you now or in the future, share that with your supervisor. If you see an opportunity and want to be a part of it, speak up and get more information about it (and if it’s work related, tell your supervisor). If you are a manager/supervisor of others, make sure you are thinking through how you are providing growth opportunities to each of your team members. If you haven’t done this with one or more of them, start the discussion tomorrow.
