Reculturing - Minding the Gap

Here’s something to think about it…


“Mind the Gap” – I’ve heard this saying many times while visiting London, but I’m talking about something completely different in this context. In In Melissa Daimler’s book, “Reculturing,” she discusses 4 gaps that we need to understand before reculturing: 1- the gap between culture and strategy, 2 – the gap between values and behaviors, 3 – the gap between behaviors and processes, and 4 - the gap between behaviors and practices. She notes that “when the gaps are closed, all employees have the same playbook and can focus on the gam instead of trying to figure out the rules of the game.”


So, my question to you:

  • When’s the last time you thought about these 4 gaps?
