What do I do if I Acted Impulsively and Made a Bad Decision?

Let’s think about it…

First, kudos to you for realizing that your being frustrated or impatient led you to make a bad decision as a lot of people struggle with their self-awareness in this area. Second, one of the best ways to recover from a bad decision is to admit the mistake. Show integrity and openly communicate to the person/team that your frustration got the better of you and apologize. Don’t play the “blame game” – simply admit to the mistake, communicate what you will do differently next time, and ask for feedback on that plan. This approach goes a long way versus pretending it never happened.
