What’s a tip on building your Emotional Expression EQ leadership skill?

Let’s think about it…


It depends on how often you use your emotional expression EQ Leadership skills… Before we dive in, lets refresh our memory on what flexing these skills may look like: expresses self easily; real; understands the benefits of utilizing these skills; an open book.


To learn more about your own emotional expression, you can take an EQ self-assessment or EQ 360 assessment. With this information, we would have a ton of information to customize a plan to develop your leadership skills.


Tip, generally speaking: if you frequently use your emotional expression skills, then back up your emotions with the potential business impact of what you are feeling. This will help inform others of the source of your emotions and ensure you aren’t seen as too emotional.


Tip, generally speaking: if you don’t use your emotional expression skills that often, then start out small by expressing what you feel in an email. Thoughtfully think through words to really describe the way you feel. As you become more comfortable with expressing yourself via email, start using your newly found vocabulary in small discussions.
